I finally took the time to repaint one of my Uneeda Joy clones. Her blush is a bit blotchy on the side that had the stain treatment. I don't mind that much with this doll, because it's the one I'm keeping, and I did her first for practice. :)

The one with the hair is how they both originally looked. I still need to put a coat of shine on her eyes.

Compared with a genuine Royal Joy.

I'm not so nervous now about repainting the other one. I just bought another Lonely Lisa doll that I'm also considering repainting...

Today I did a repaint on a 28" Monster High Freaky Friend doll. Her makeup was garish and ugly, as was her hair.

Opening her head was not easy at all. I ripped a part of her scalp trying to get it off. Fortunately it's at the back and will be covered by her wig.

I also put a bit of a crack in the side of her head!  It's hard to see and not anything serious. Still. I dont ever want to customize another one of these dolls. The head is ridiculous!
