Iplehouse Tedros Head

Since 2008, I've been drooling over photos of Iplehouse Tedros. I recently discovered he will soon be discontinued, so I ordered his head while I still could.

This is the doll that originally got me interested in BJD's.

I ordered him a month ago and he arrived today. I was a bit scared to attempt facial hair, but I did ok. Not professional-looking, but it'll do.

I've ordered some Apoxie to modify his ENORMOUS neck hole so he'll fit on the Clover Doll body.

Unfortunately this means Phineas will be a floating head again! :D Poor baby!
I've named him Orbry. What a magnificent profile!

Grandma's Old Toni Doll

We just finished our first craft show of the year, and while sitting in our booth the first day, my mother visited us. She always brings stuff my Grandma sends for me, and this time she sent a vintage Toni doll.
This particular Toni doll is one of the earliest ones. Probably from the late 40's. She has a rarer color eyes (green) and a strawberry blonde wig.

It was my great-grandma's doll. Apparently she would dress it up and sit it on her bed as a decoration. My mom said she remembers it when she was a kid.
I've unstrung her for cleaning. At some point her head came off and Great Grandma decided to glue her head back on instead of restringing her!

Soaking off old glue. YUCK!
Fully cleaned and restrung. There was no damage to her neck or head. :)

Three Bigheads

My three current bigheads! I'll be attempting to customize the Blythe clone this summer. (She's a Basaak.)

I will eventually get a real Blythe doll. I'd rather practice on a cheaper doll in case I mess something up! I always thought Blythe dolls were plain and ugly till I saw some of the customized ones.

My Dal bee outfit work-in-progress. I probably wont finish it till after my upcoming craft fair next month.
I prefer the Dal in the black wig.
A few of the pieces I've finished so far. I still have some tops, tights, and socks to sew.

Doll Chairs

Please pardon my messy work table!
I've been working on fixing up a set of nine metal doll chairs the past couple days. Just the right size for my Berry and Dal. The Pullip Dal just arrived today. She's one of the dolls I will keep forever.  I've been wanting one for a while. She's so dainty compared to the Berry!

The size difference in their feet makes me laugh! The Hujoo feet look so massive!

Hujoo Berry Outfit

My Hujoo Berry in a new jumpsuit I just finished for her.
I really should give her a name. I keep calling her "Bighead"! :D

Hujoo Berry Clothes Works In Progress

Faceup time for a new Hujoo Berry. I haven't named her yet.
 A couple outfits I'm working on. :)

Doll Trunks And New Doll Head

Today I'm making a few doll trunks out of old luggage. They're for 5" dolls. I'm almost finished with this one. I still need to make the clothes rod in one of the side spaces, a couple chairs, and a few other things. I love the teeny tea set! I bought a few cute Korean dolls to sell with the trunks. (My Ms Pixel will not be included! I'm also making one for her.)

Also, I just bought a new head for my Hujoo Matthew. (My daughter thinks he's ugly! :D )
With a different head, to me it's a whole different doll. His name is Yuri.

Mig In Black And Yellow

Mig in a work-in-progress outfit. She looks so much better with a yellow wig! :) I hunted around Etsy and Ebay till I found old Little Miss Revlon patterns. I only had to tweak them a bit to fit her.

Hujoo Matthew Doll

A new Hujoo Matthew added to the collection. I've named him Ydvrt.

I'm no longer collecting the large resin dolls for a long list of reasons. One reason being lack of space. They don't fit in my cabinet dollhouse!

Sometimes one doesn't know what one doesn't want till one gets it! :D

Hujoo Girls

All three of my Hujoo girls. Ruki, Mig, and Pixel. Mig looks a bit out of place in the frilly pink dress! I'll soon make her something black and yellow. :D
Mig. My Hujoo Lily. She just arrived yesterday. I may redo her faceup.
Ms Pixel is a Hujoo Suve.

Miniatures For My Dolls

Mini books and cards I made for my dolls. I found the photos in a Google search, then printed them on bristol.  A couple coats of varnish makes them glossy. The books have blank pages.
Patches I painted for the dolls' Toy Soldier uniforms. Painted on broadcloth with acrylics.

Phineas T. Mudwhipe

My newest bjd. Phineas T. Mudwhipe. He's a Doll Family-H Yehua head on a Clover Doll body. I made his clothes.
Eventually I want to make all three of my dolls a black and yellow outfit. Just because. :)
All three. :)

Phineas Head Rolling Around

Last summer I bought a practice head for faceups, but I never did any practice with it! He just kinda rolled around my work area and took up space. After taking a good look at him, I decided he was pretty enough to buy an actual body for.

His body arrived today, so I finally did his faceup. This is the best one I've done yet! Not perfect, but I love it!

Unfortunately, his body arrived with three busted fingers. Junky Spot is sending replacements.

His body isnt an exact color match to his head, but I'm not super picky about this. The body is just a bit pinker!

I was considering a Resinsoul body for him, but it just looked too lanky and girly to me! (It probably would have been a better color match, though.) I chose a Clover Doll body because of the better proportions, and it was on sale!

Ruki's New Outfit

I've been busily sewing plushies, but took a break to work on a new art book. I've put about 80 of my best drawings in it, and will be in full color. :) Coming soon to my Etsy shop! (Also some postcard prints of a select few of my most favorited art.)

A lot of folks in the past few years have nagged at me to make a coloring book, so that will be my next project! I have enough material already to make at least three coloring books! :D

In the meantime, some lovely photos of my beloved Ruki in a new outfit!

Red, Black, And Gold Dress

I was inspired recently by an antique doll with a dress in these colors. I knew I wanted Ruki to have a similar one!

It's not actually finished yet. I'm waiting on some lace and trim I ordered on Ebay.

The hat was an experiment that turned out amazing except for one thing. It's a bit too small for her. It wasn't that hard to make, so I'm making another today.

The hat is just a couple layers of thin cardboard and textured Ultrasuede glued and sewn together.

The goggles are also suede-like fabric, thin cardboard painted with acrylics, thin plastic from a water bottle, and painted floral wire.
